Al Nimer Investments is a group of companies that are founded by Dr. Husam Al Nimer. Dr. Husam was born on the 7th of December,1929 in Nablus, Palestine. He grew up in Jenin with his five brothers and four sisters. He is the son of Dr. Said Al-Nimer, a well-known physician in Jenin, who was one of King Faisal’s personal doctors during the Arab Revolution.

Dr. Husam comes from Al-Nimer Family which was one of the big landowners in Tubas region and worked mainly as farmers. The oral history of the family recounts that Al-Nimer’s clan. The Sawaftah, was originally a Bedouin clan that arrived a few hundred years earlier from a village east of the Jordan River.

Dr. Husam went to elementary school in Jenin and to Terra Santa High School in Jerusalem. He earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the American University of Beirut in 1953. Soon after graduating, he moved to Kuwait where he started his career as a pharmacist at the Ministry of Health.

An entrepreneur at heart, Dr. Husam decided to leave the Kuwait Ministry of Health and start his own business in 1965, when he founded Al-Mojil Drug Company, which grew to be one of Kuwait’s major suppliers of pharmaceuticals.

In 1990, Dr. Husam moved to Jordan and worked in the agricultural industry for five years. In 1995, he founded Husam Nimer Drugstore ( HNDS ) and in 2004 he and his partners founded Rama Drug Company in Iraq.

In 2015, Dr. Husam and His son, Mr. Omar, founded Magnolia General Trading Co. which is specialised in importing high quality FMCG products from around the globe.
